Europe makes you smarter

Navigating my way around Europe makes me appreciate how simple life is in North America. Simple, meaning a bit dull. In Canada all the risks and dangers have been taken away to make life easier, but I think it has also made things a bit less exciting than it could be.

Like the sidewalks in Canada are all too smooth. You don't even need to think to walk down the street. Here, the walk ways are often cobble stone. If you are not careful you will twist your ankle. Now I am not saying a twisted ankle is good...but it makes you pay attention to what you are doing. Your brain is more active even when walking down the street.

Here in Europe there are all sorts of obstacles to be avoided, directions to be followed, different languages to be translated and just a sense that things have been in place a long time and will continue for a long time so don't think you are the master of all. It is a very different world in which to live. And it is very stimulating on the brain - so much more stimulating than Canada.

I now see that my brain is almost asleep when I am in Canada.
I think europe makes you smarter.

Hey! Let's move to Europe!
It would totally wake our minds up and give us all a richer life.

What do you say kids?
