Champagne! Champagne for everyone!

Its a small thing, but it brings out the Bubbles in everyone - Devere, that is!

Screens gone black

There is something very evil about the colour black. Black means nothing, empty, vacant, void. Its hopeless, cold and isolating.

We just heard an announcement as we were about to board the plane that maintenance has been called on baord because all the computer screens in the cockpit have gone black.

Black

It clearly signals something wrong. They didn't go blue. Or mint green. They went black.

Now if I can't get out of Edmonton and to London, my work with my client will go black. It will be nothing, empty, vacant, void. Its hopeless, cold and isolating.

So here I sit against the wall in the hallway, desperately hoping that somehow, the screens will become fuschia or penelope yellow or squirrely grey.....anything but black!

Happy Birthday to ME!

Hi everyone. I tried to send a video from my cell phone earlier, but it didnt work.

Well I am off to bed now. I have a big work day in the morning. Then I think I am going to go shopping for some pants (no PST!).

I hope you are all well. I will call home before I fly to London Saturday night, OK?

Ciao!

Snow!

We are near landing in Toronto. As I look out my window this is my view. Snow! It has rarely snowed before my birthday in November.

As we fly a few minutes farther and get into the city the snow has almost disappeared. That must have been just outside of Oshawa. We are now over Scarborough. Now Yonge st. No more snow.

Toronto from the Air

The CN Tower is in the distance. Squint.

Mama I'm Coming Home

Well we are safely tucked away aboard our flight from Heathrow. I am about to tuck into a bacon tomato sandwich as I am famished.

Tried to upgrade Gareth and Owen to business class but they were refused due to the Standard of Customer regulations. Too bad.

See you all soon.
